Maria Alice De Mathis

She completed a postdoctoral fellowship at the Department of Psychiatry of the Institute of Psychiatry, School of Medicine, University of São Paulo (IPq-FMUSP), where she studied patients with obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD). She holds a master’s and doctoral degree in Sciences, with a specialization in Psychiatry, from FMUSP. She graduated in Psychology from the Pontifical Catholic University of São Paulo (PUC-SP) and has experience in the field of Psychology, focusing primarily on OCD, cognitive-behavioral therapy, Tourette syndrome, and obsessive-compulsive spectrum disorders.

She completed intensive training in OCD-focused cognitive-behavioral therapy at McLean Hospital, a Harvard Medical School-affiliated hospital in Boston, Massachusetts (USA). She is the research manager of the Brazilian OCD Research Consortium (C-TOC). She is currently responsible for implementing online cognitive-behavioral therapy for OCD in collaboration with the Karolinska Institute in Sweden.

At CISM, she serves as the lead researcher of the “Vínculo-TOC” project, which is part of the “Digital Solutions” module.
