Paulo Rossi Menezes

Scientific Director

He holds a medical degree from the Faculty of Medical Sciences of Santa Casa de São Paulo, a Master’s degree in Psychiatry and Medical Psychology from the Federal University of São Paulo (Unifesp), a Master’s degree in Epidemiology from the University of London, a PhD in Psychiatry from the University of London, and a Habilitation (Livre-Docência) in Preventive Medicine from the University of São Paulo (USP). He completed a postdoctoral fellowship at the University of Bristol.

He is Full Professor in the Department of Preventive Medicine at the University of São Paulo School of Medicine (FMUSP) and a Full Member of the São Paulo Academy of Sciences. He previously served as Coordinator of the Population Mental Health Research Center at USP.

He served as Coordinator of the Disease Control Coordination Office of the São Paulo State Department of Health and as Coordinator of the São Paulo State Contingency Center for the Response to the COVID-19 Pandemic. He was also a member of the High-Level Committee on Mental Health and COVID-19 in the Americas of the Pan American Health Organization (PAHO).

At CISM, he serves as Scientific Director and participates in research projects focused on digital solutions and implementation science.
