Child and Young Adult Mental Health

The fourth area, developed through a partnership between CISM, the Child Mind Institute (CMI), and the Stavros Niarchos Foundation (SNF) Global Center for Child and Adolescent Mental Health, brings together multiple strategies aimed at advancing cutting-edge research and promoting mental healthcare for children and adolescents.

This initiative includes the development of the first nationwide epidemiological study on the mental health of Brazilian children, adolescents, and young adults; the use of multimodal technologies to advance knowledge of mental disorders and neuroscience; the implementation of evidence-based treatment protocols within public healthcare services; and the creation of the Center of Excellence in Data Science and Implementation.
